How does the important, money-making stuff at Google get done?
- strongpigeon 4y agoIt’s easy to demonstrate impact with the money-making stuff as you can put a dollar figure in your perf. The stuff that doesn’t get done as much is where your impact isn’t as easily demonstrated (e.g small incremental improvements that add up to a lot in term of overall quality)
- cmrdporcupine 4y agoAutomatically. Everyone else is eating the results of all that money-making in the many many cafes. Actually, this is only true for SWEs. The money making at Google really runs on the insane hard work of its SREs and its data centre staff.
