Why are startups selling expensive underware? Because they want to earn a million with a low volume.
And there are people willing to pay for it!
- MetaWhirledPeas 4y agoI have a similar take. What startup can succeed selling $1.25 socks? None. Walmart and their suppliers have worked for decades at massive scale to trim every possible cost and make money on slim margins. For most startups selling physical goods, the only way to make money is to charge a premium. This is exactly how Tesla grew their business.
