Drone carrying bag of handguns from United States to Canada intercepted by tree
- MichaelZuo 4y agoSeems to be an opportunity for airspace and border monitoring startups.
- maxerickson 4y agoWe could just open the border with Canada.
- MichaelZuo 4y agoIt takes at least 2 parties to agree to open a border.
- maxerickson 4y agoOkay, the US (where I live) could drop border controls along the Canadian border and let Canada do whatever it wants. There's not a real need to patrol that border or restrict crossings.
- klyrs 4y agoIs the time ripe for a campaign to Build a Wall to protect us from our violent neighbors to the south?
- nyokodo 4y ago> Build a Wall The wicked burn of this Trump reference is tempered by the fact that flying drones aren’t stopped by walls.
- addled 4y agoBut according to the article, they can be stopped by trees (at least sometimes). So... maybe they could make a "wall" by planting a row of trees along the border? Maples are nice.
- klyrs 4y agoThere we are, the Please Plant A Nice Wall campaign.
- ok_dad 4y agoNeither are immigrants, but hey.
- nyokodo 4y agoThey're at least slowed down or diverted by walls, not flying objects though.
- anamax 4y agoI wonder why bother. It's not like the border controls are strict. It used to be that you didn't even stop when crossing from Detroit to Windsor.
