Let's work remotely and travel together
Hi, I'm a female founder who runs my own company remotely. I'd love to take advantage of this freedom and travel the world working remotely and living off income from my startup, but don't want to do it alone (just because it would be safer, save money and be more fun/less lonely). Looking for another founder (ideally female) or engineer/other remote worker who is in a similar situation and would like to explore the world (or a few places with me). If interested, email me manisha[at]modulo[dot]app
- rbanffy 4y agoOh... I would love to join such a travelling tech commune in my 20's and 30's.
- artful-hacker 4y agoI really wanted to do this when I was younger, but the complications of filing taxes always turned me off the idea.
- rbanffy 4y agoAFAIK if you renounce American citizenship and never spend more than 6 months at a single place within the same year, the question becomes moot.
- formerkrogemp 4y agoYou can hire an accountant? There are CPAs that do nothing but this.

- kirso 4y agoI would still encourage you to go and find a co-traveller when you are at the place of destination. There are tonnes of communities in places like Bali & Thailand, co-working, cafes where you meet other nomads who are working on variety of things. I believe in the old days - you couldn't just wait... otherwise you would wait for ages before going so people would live in a hostel and meet their peers there.
- actfrench 4y agoIf I was a guy yes, but unfortunately for a woman it's really not that safe, at least I've found.
- kirso 4y agoI think it highly depends where you go. I have met several solo woman travellers around the world and they had 0 negative experience. Specifically for the locations that I outlined its safe and you can find co-travellers there.
- lucastech 4y agoYou would probably appreciate the Nomad List community: https://nomadlist.com https://nomadlist.com
- NiagaraThistle 4y agoThis sounds like the beginning of a great startup. I know a couple people on Indiehackers were trying to put something like this together a few months back: trips to co-work together around the world. Not sure if anything ever came of it, but might be worth checking out on IndieHackers to see if you can pull up an old post about this sort of thing and if the person was able to get a group together.
