Amen brother. I walk about an hour a day, most every day, and do some light weights. It's the perfect amount of clear-your-head-and-think time for me, and makes me feel tons better. But it's a tradeoff about what doesn't get done (or that I push off on my wife & family) because I do it. The theme some folks in this thread are pushing that "oh, just take 3-4 hours a day...no big deal anyone can do that...you have nothing more important to do" is seriously defective.
- markus_zhang 5y agoExactly. It's always trade off. I actually don't spend a lot of time on my kid because my parents are helping a lot. That will change in a year or so and I'd have even less time. Just hope he can sleep throughout the night without waking up so that we can grab more sleep.
- Handytinge 5y agoThe sleep gets easier, and the challenges change to new ones every few years!
- markus_zhang 5y agoThanks! My friends told me that already :) I figured I'd probably have more free time when he goes to middle school when teenager rebellion kicks in. In about ten years.
- kjs3 5y agoYou will be fine. You aren't the first parent to do this.
