Tell that to a non-developer who has a $1 a month shared hosting account who would like to spruce up their website a little bit with (let's say) a visitor counter.
- Macha 4y agoSo Vultr starts at $2.50 a month and Linode at $5 a month. $1 in 2000 dollars is $1.67 today, and most of those $1/month hosts were introductory offers anyway. I seem to remember the cheapest real hosting I got in the day was $30/year, and those hosts now charge £4/month and $7/month respectively, though to be fair they include a domain these days.
