- ggm 4y ago"gas fees" is such a wonderful euphemism. at least one, possibly two of the fintech blockchain workshops I went to 5 years ago sold the basis of reasoning as "removing intermediaries and rent-seekers" and here we are, having a "processing fee" cost added which on surge pricing models, inflates to many many multiples of the transaction value. Here, have that stick of gum, its only 1c but unfortunately, there is a $100 card processing fee, stripe charges me, and visa, I have to balance out you know...
