Several years ago, my last company hired Denzo to write firmware for a new thermostat project. Denzo does electronics for Toyota. The software quality was so bad, it all had to be scrapped. Their software engineers were doing things like making their own mutexes instead of using the rtos builtins. It's been a while, so maybe there has been a reckoning since.
