how do these ignorant takes get upvoted on a tech board like this
- vba616 4y agoI don't understand why or how they think resources were wasted. I mean, it might be true, since I don't know how Ethereum works. But I don't see where it says or implies or explains that the fees represented real resources lost - rather than money transferred.
- robbiep 4y agoSome of the transaction fee is literally burned/ceases to exist. Some fraction of it is also printed but some goes away completely. As I understand it.
- ldiracdelta 4y agoSounds like currency deflation. There are winners in deflation too.
- Tao332 4y agoThe mistake is in pretending that 64K Eth has a USD value that means anything. It doesn't.

- vnchr 4y agoI have to agree. It starts with irresponsible journalism that is misrepresenting what actually happened. Nothing broke.
