I wonder what the author thinks about the allegations that Putin was involved on the Russian Appartment Bombings [1]
What I read seems to imply that he would totally do it, as long as the risk of discovery was low, or could be properly "managed". And that if caught he would justify it by saying that "historically Russia was built on sacrifice" or some other platitude like that.

- guilhas 5y agoWhat do we think about the allegations that Bush and the CIA were involved in the 9/11 attacks to clumsily justify the illegal invasion of Iraq? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/September_11_attacks https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/September_11_attacks Funny how the conspiracy versions are worded very differently, being disregard completely on the 9/11 article
- ncmncm 5y agoPlausible, but it is unlikely we will ever establish it. The collapse of the neighboring building after a minor fire remains deeply suspicious. I don't know how one could have encouraged investigating it, but the treatment of people asking for that was itself suspicious
- ZeroGravitas 5y agoAs you've phrased it, it's true and not particularly controversial. They certainly took advantage of the event to further harm America, start a war they'd been planning for a while and in the process kill more Americans than died in that attack which you'd think would be objectively worse and is very similar to what Putin is accused of.
