Water is fungible.
Land is not.
- kragen 5y agoLand is not fungible for agriculture or mining, but for residential purposes, dry land is pretty fungible, just not portable. In agriculturally-relevant quantities, neither is water, at least not without civil engineering projects of the same massive scale as turning lakes into land.
