This is silly. Yes, the cult of OO (and overuse of OO) is bad. But at the end of the day it helps people get stuff done. Even if it may be "flawed" in concept. So in that category it's just like ... Unix, TCP/IP, or ... ASCII, or ... just about any large-scale programming language you can think of. Just another variant in the "Why the 'else' statement is bad" genre, this video.
