4K Drone footage of a moving Tornado funnel
- kent13304 4y agoI live just outside Andover, KS. Tornado came within about 2 miles of our house. It's amazing there were no deaths nor serious injuries from this tornado.
- londons_explore 4y agoThere's a strong argument that houses should be built tornado proof... It requires houses to be built of brick or concrete with a steel frame instead of wood and felt. But that's probably worth paying for rather than having your life ripped apart when a tornado comes through.
- mdrzn 4y agoAs a European, it baffles me that a nation with about 1k tornadoes a year [0] still build houses with wood and glue. How is it better to rebuild every time instead of spending the right amount of money the first time? It would be like Japan not building earthquake-resistant houses because "it's too expensive". - euroderf 4y agoThere is also some kind of tornado-proofing technique for roof construction. When a tornado comes by there's a sudden pressure drop, and a typical roof cannot handle it and comes apart.
- naikrovek 4y agoHeck of a drone that can’t turn (yaw). That drone was doing everything it could to keep the tornado in view except turn.
