There's too many phd's for the number of available academic jobs, but that has nothing to do with broader hiring...
- btrettel 5y agoI'm thinking of non-academic jobs too. There are a lot of research positions requiring a PhD in my area. There's still a massive surplus of PhDs in my area despite this.
