Well I guess it depends on what you consider the average programmer to be. In my circles your introduction to programming is usually SICP so Lisp (Scheme) would actually be the first language you learn
- phist_mcgee 4y agoIn my circles, if you can successfully glue together react libraries, you're a senior engineer. Some people i've worked with don't even know what imperative vs declarative programming is. As they say, you become your lowest minimum standard, and that applies to mainstream programming teams too.
