Documentation can be like going to college and university and what I mean by that is it can blinker your thought processes. The best way to learn is to see what errors api's & language functions throw at you. Then you know where it wont work! The people who docs typically also dont code, but those that do code and document tend to produce the best docs, but its not a given.
