- tablespoon 5y ago> Now that money was stolen by the nation that killed more people in this century than any other country. Come on, read the news. The US hasn't shelled any large cities into rubble "this century," unlike the military of a certain country has over the last few weeks. Even if your statement was true, I doubt it will be once the bodies are counted in the recent conflict.
- xiphias2 5y agoUS about 400000 civilians post 2001, Russia closer to 40000 maybe according to Wikipedia. Of course the US news won't tell about its own cruelty.
- tablespoon 5y ago> US about 400000 civilians post 2001, Undoubtedly you're comparing apples to oranges. IIRC, when you start getting into big numbers like 400,000, the counting gets increasingly indirect, e.g.: https://www.usnews.com/news/national-news/articles/2021-09-10/counting-the-lives-lost-as-a-result-of-9-11 https://www.usnews.com/news/national-news/articles/2021-09-1...: > Of all those who died in the post-9/11 wars, civilians accounted for the largest share by far. The Costs of War Project estimates that more than 360,000 civilians lost their lives at the hands of opposition fighters, local militaries and U.S. and coalition forces. ... > Russia closer to 40000 maybe according to Wikipedia. Any number at this point is a wild-ass guess. > Of course the US news won't tell about its own cruelty. Note the above cite was from an outlet literally named "US News."
