Star Trek Strange New Worlds Review: Classic Trek Is Back
- incomingpain 5y agoI honestly prefer a longer running story. HBO clearly has proven long story arcs and not self-contained stories is better. Orville is still great but discovery's failure is not because of format. Pre-Discovery. I've watched all of star trek more than once. TAS, TOS, DS9, TNG, VOY, ENT, movies. Everything more than once. I love Trek. Discovery though... you can tell something was wrong. You have this ultra top secret mushroom drive that can go faster than warp... but the characters are LGBT? Chief medical and Chief engineer are gay. Reno their replacement is gay. Tal is non-binary/trans. Like I love the idea of Trill being non-binary, it makes a ton of sense. A top secret ship will have the best of the best crew. Yet they are all LGBT? What are they trying to say?
