This is a good start. Long road ahead on this. Some comments on the design: 1. If there were more similarities to how Prometheus defines flags I think that would be better. Adding metadata like help text and other things that prom has would be nice. 2. Having some method to identify what flags a binary thinks are set (and more specifically the set to non-default values) from a process running outside of the binary is extremely helpful. [0] 3. Defining schemes for flag rollouts. They should be able to be gradual, canary + gradual, global. 4. Some integration with common web/rpc frameworks that would allow you apply flags to a user population ("only the devs from our team should see this feature") is very helpful as well.
