Refusing the law because of the people pushing is ideological.

Imagine a push to set the term for abortion to 20 weeks or whatever. If it’s being pushed by the AMA based on medical concerns, the issue can be discussed seriously. If it’s being pushed by religious groups based on their interpretation of an old folk story, it can be discussed in a completely different way.
