My experience with Go is that it is pretty low level compared to languages like Ruby, but higher level than something like C++. I'd be curious to hear what people build with it at work, is it mostly microservices or are there also monoliths around? Is it more APIs or background workers? What do you think it's an interesting project I could build in my time that shows me where Go shines?
