- femto 4y agoThe original study of the Bare-nosed wombat was produced by a 15 year old boy, Peter Nicholson, who in the 1960s used to sneak out of his boarding school dormitory of a night to crawl into wombat burrows and make friends with the wombats. He used to "speak wombat" to them and his scientific paper is still cited. https://www.wombatfoundation.com.au/team-view/peter-nicholson/ https://www.wombatfoundation.com.au/team-view/peter-nicholso... https://www.textpublishing.com.au/books/the-secret-life-of-wombats https://www.textpublishing.com.au/books/the-secret-life-of-w... https://www.abc.net.au/austory/the-wombat-boy-march-25,-2002/10447234 https://www.abc.net.au/austory/the-wombat-boy-march-25,-2002...
