Ctrl+D to quickly close a terminal window (Bash).
- joseph 4y agoCtrl+l clears the screen. Ctrl+[ is the same as escape, which I like more than reaching for the esc key.
- brobinson 4y agoMost of these work in most programs using readline: https://readline.kablamo.org/emacs.html https://readline.kablamo.org/emacs.html It's fun to blow people's minds by cutting/copying/pasting _in the shell_ without touching the mouse and using Ctrl+u to clear password inputs when you make a typo.
