Ask HN: How does the Shop app pull my Amazon orders?

To my knowledge Amazon doesn’t have APIs for pulling orders. Does anyone know how the Shop app is able to continue pulling orders after I login to Amazon?

Did you give it access to your Gmail account? It might use the emails that Amazon sends to track your orders.
