How will you stop competitors from stealing your "secret sauce"? It seems fairly straightforward to program this into another more well-entrenched forum stack.
You could, for example, say that you could compete on other feature sets, but the same argument applies.
Reply-by-email? NodeBB has this (via SendGrid) and probably Discourse too.
Extensibility? Lots of forums support plugins.
Theming? Many forums are very customisable (or at least themeable)

- julianlam 4y agoI'm simply asking because if someone were to do a feature comparison between forum software, it usually comes down to how many checkboxes you can hit. If your differentiating factor is something that is simple (and even mind blowing), it's especially easy for it to be stolen.
