So, it seems like you would prefer if many of the businesses that currently choose an advertising business model choose another one. Is this correct?
- Nextgrid 4y agoThat's correct - I don't mind advertising being there as an option, just that the whole business model of it doesn't make that possible - the people who would rather pay not to see ads are those that commend the highest ad rates, so the only way out is to outright ban it or make it unprofitable with draconian regulation.
- kite_and_code 4y agoI guess there are companies that have tried to let people pay instead of showing ads but I guess that the conversation rates have been so low that the company did not achieve the same revenue than via ads. Having said that. What do you think about a regulation that companies are required to offer a pay-for-no-ads option which gives users an option that is priced at 10% above the expected value of their ad revenues?
