I cannot read the entire article as this is a TechCrunch-Exclusive, but I'd say that Robinhood sank their own ship. They screwed over a lot of their users in January of 2021 right at the moment that they could have gained a loyal customer-base for life. A good number of people were understandably aggravated by that and took their trading elsewhere. And it's kind of a shame because Robinhood does genuinely have a good, approachable modern interface that a lot of people want to use. But many people cannot use a broker that they don't trust to not rugpull if it suits them.
