Exposed by a Strava KOM: The many lives of a fake pro cyclist
- smackeyacky 4y agoFascinating read. I had to deal with a guy who fabricated his past for what seem like similar reasons to this character, although not to this extent. It unravelled slowly at first, but the collapse was fascinating. So much rage, abuse, gaslighting as the truth came to light. I guess burnishing your achievements a bit is more or less encouraged but some people take it to extremes.
- jerlam 4y agoIt's baffling that this faker went through the effort to post a clearly fraudulent ride on Strava. On any leaderboard, you'll have people going through all the efforts with a critical eye - Clark's effort would have screamed deception from the rooftops, even if people didn't know who he was.
