What is this - a gathering of the long knives?
I have long lamented the formation of corporate dead-wood, tier upon tier until someone shakes them up - look at GE for a huge example - many others plod on. Manglers(an ineffective manager = a mangler) whose task is to keep the nose deep in the upstream mangler as they accept the insertions of those behind.
Musk assesses people on the basis of performance, the very best ones progress up, the good ones remain, the poor depart = Darwin in action - constantly evolving.
Look at how Japan has been mangled over the past 20-40 years after their huge rebirth when the USA forced them to re-invent themselves. Deming was the architect of their rebirth from cheap tin trinkets in 1945 to the colossus they became. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/W._Edwards_Deming https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/W._Edwards_Deming.
The rest of the world need a Musk style rebirth.
