I'd say the risk of something happening to your pet is far too high to justify such a short flight. I'd suggest borrowing a car from a friend or renting one for a couple of days; and have one of you stay with the pet in the new place while the other drives the car back.

You can just pay a bit extra and bring your pet in an extra seat in the cabin. I've been doing this for years. Many times I'll often be given 3 seats if there's an empty row, just to make it more comfortable for me and my cat.
