Martin here, creator of simpler. simpler is a unique to-do app that helps you do what needs to get done so you can focus on what truly matters. Many people get overwhelmed by all the things they have to do in life. In reality, we only ever have to do one thing at a time. That’s how anything — and everything — gets done. I invented a new a method to help you organize, prioritize, and filter your to-dos. That way, you’ll only see the to-dos that need to get done, and in the order in which you need to do them. simpler helps you clear away distractions by only showing you what you need to do in this moment. --- The idea for simpler came to me way back in 2009 — during a vision quest in New Mexico while I was literally fasting on a mountain :) In the years since this idea never quite left me, and so finally it was time to make it happen. It reminds me of what the eminent Swiss psychologist Dr. Carl Jung said when was asked what the fastest way to accomplishing one’s goals was. Supposedly, he replied without a moment’s hesitation: “the detour”. The journey to having made simpler happen feels a bit that way.

  It's great to hear that you have been thinking about this for a while but the fact that you need to sign in just to see how it works is a turn off

    I hear you, jelsisi... honestly, it’s more a bug than a feature as I was too lazy to design a proper homepage, lol. I’ll get around to creating a proper homepage soon.

A beautifully simple app with more functionality than I knew I needed. The ability to categorise and prioritize my todos is phenomenal!

Hey, this look great! I'd say: Looks: 11/10 UX: 3/10 For real: you have a 5-page form to add a simple task with no date, no deadline, etc). I think you should implement a "advanced mode" at least, that lets people add todo's quickly and later review them and add details (due date etc). Congrats on releasing, of course! Your design looks very professional!
