Good grief, yes. When you are tired and burnt out, you find the worst kind of shortcuts.
- ed312 5y agoThis is in the same vein as the advice I give to the overachiever junior/mid level engineers I mentor. They're constantly searching for the next big project or optimization. In the same way you need to sleep at night to process the day, you need a few weeks off every now and again to process your life/career.
