Worst case I've seen of that was a pilot hired to fly a private jet mostly being used as an unrelated to aircraft general maintenance man because there were no clients for the recently purchased private jet. Was incredibly uncomfortable needing something done and knowing I'd be told to get him to do it. His unhappiness with his position was palpable.
