I feel like this is the worst part about Snapchat. Everything you record in SC looks like shit. It’s so bad that I feel like it makes Snapchat feel cheaper on the social media hierarchy
- djkoolaide 4y agoCompletely agree, and I can always tell when someone reposts a Snap video to IG.
- fullstop 4y agoIt's far worse on Android since they are creating the video from the "preview" window surface instead of directly from the camera interface.
- alephxyz 4y agoI keep seeing that claim pop up here and on Reddit but their app has been using the camera2 api since at least 2019
- windowsrookie 4y agoYet for some reason it's still worse quality than an iPhone. I switched from an S21 Ultra to a 13 Pro Max and snapchat has noticeably better quality on the iPhone. I just wish they would allow you to use the ultra wide and telephoto sensors as well.
- eruleman 4y agoI thought this was fixed?
- fullstop 4y agoIt is, depending on your phone make and model.
- speedgoose 4y agoGood luck if your Android phone is not available in the US. Snapchat will very likely never whitelist it.
- skizm 4y agoWeirdly enough, I like that vibe about snapchat. They are the "cheaper" social media. Nothing is meant to last, and everything is meant to be low key, low stakes, "fun". You're not there to read articles or argue with people, just check out some random memes, dogs, attractive people, whatever and move on with you day. /2c
