A two year old rant that everyone saw the first time about a language which has subsequently changed significantly is not in any sense "hacker news." It is "old hacker opinions."
- tialaramex 5y agoWhich will be why the linked post has a section "April 2022 Update". > I wrote this in 2020, and have changed jobs twice since. Both jobs involved Go in some capacity, where it's supposed to shine (web services). It has not been a pleasant experience either - I've lost count of the amount of incidents directly caused by poor error handling, or Go default values.
