After having used Unity for many months, I recently switch back to "Gnome classic" and when I upgrade to 11.10 it will be Xubuntu. It would be great if Canonical concentrated their resources on making the system faster, like they did until recently (improved start up speed etc). However, now they seem to be dumping all work into reinventing the wheel by creating yet another Linux desktop GUI.
