The value here is automated trading of crypto? What’s new about this? It doesn’t seem to have anything to do with Web3.

  Automated trading of crypto is a derivative of crypto/Web 3. What I'm saying is that there are offshoots that may not seem directly related to it. There's still innovation going on.

    In what way is automated trading of crypto derivative of Web 3? Does this use smart contracts? Otherwise what’s Web3 about it? Or is cryptocurrency just being rebranded as Web3 now?

      To me crypto forms a part of Web 3, not all of it by far.
