  Well, it's effectively face-swapping but also includes hair and other non-face features of the head, so it seems strictly better than simply swapping faces. Therefore, the intended use is probably a superset of face swapping uses. With this, you'd need less of a "body match" to realistically swap onto (for example, matching hair style/color). Compare e.g. simply swapping a player's face onto a game avatar versus swapping their entire head + hair.

  I don’t know what they intend to use it for but face swapping is a common request on Instapainting.com, so we (ai work there) could use it to generate previews before an artist does the face swapping work.
