Some of these were very surprising to me: Registered nurses at an annual mean salary of $151,640; nurse midwives at $162K. PR managers and art directors both at ~$155K. Airline pilots only slightly lower than CEOs ($243K vs $258K). I'm guessing the last of these has to do with CEOs being paid mainly in equity, but the numbers were quite high for a number of kind of mundane jobs in both private and public sectors and across multiple industries.
