Very well written, but an introductory tutorial shouldn't ignore fundamental difficulties like multiple conflicting instances of the same typeclass for the same type. Your example would be a good fit, since Pokémon can be "naturally" ordered by number, by name, by which one has more types, and in infinite other ways.
