A lot of household appliances like this are hardwired at the breaker panel. I'm having a hard time believing that running to the panel before and after each use of a dishwasher, oven, washer, dryer, etc. is something anyone would actually do.
- qayxc 5y agoMost ovens are hardwired, true. Washers, dryers, and dishwashers, however usually aren't hardwired (at least in countries with 240V AC) - might depend on the country, though. Personally, I've yet to come across a washing machine, dish washer, or dryer that's hardwired. Typical appliances in my region look like this [1], [2], [3], [4]. Note the cords and plugs.
