- GekkePrutser 4y agoI didn't count the fridge, no. I took the base load from the times the fridge compressor is off. The TV in standby is included though. And yeah it's measured. I have a Shelly EM2 connected to home assistant.
- aulin 4y agoOk, asking because I'm getting around 150W measured base load with way less computing devices but two fridges. I need to start monitoring single appliances to see who's guilty.
- GekkePrutser 4y agoYeah if you have two it's a lot harder to see. I don't have sensors on a lot of individual devices, definitely not the fridge. But on my house power graph it's really clear when the fridge is on because I see a huge spike when the compressor starts up and then about 50W constant load while it cools. Also, I have temperature sensors in both the fridge and freezer compartments so I can see exactly when it's cooling (which coincides with that power draw). But almost all my computing devices are low-power ones and that really helps a lot. Some are in the living room so noise was also a consideration. The only big exception is my game PC - I always shut that down fully and only really use it for gaming because even idle it will take 200W or so. I have an RTX3080Ti in it so it's not power-efficient :)
