I feel the same, vaguely, but enough to be disturbed and even disgusted by some versions of generative AI art. I think it's a version of the uncanny valley effect, by which we're looking at something that's trying to recreate perceptions of normal reality (even in exotic contexts like sci fi) but delivering something subtly skewed in so many ways.
