A "hostile takeover bid" has a specific meaning, this takeover is not hostile and no attempt was made to make a hostile takeover.
- basisword 5y agoThe eventual take over wasn't hostile but this article was written last week. It was something that was a possibility at that time.
- shkkmo 5y agoIt was something that was speculated about. I have seen zero evidence that Musk tried to lay the ground work (e.g. lining up the loans or selling enough stocks to finance such am attempt). This "journalist" doesn't qualify anything and makes a statement of fact that Musk mounted hostile takeover bid. That is simply bad reporting.
