Borrowing large parts of its melody from ABBA's "SOS" and Indeep's "Last Night a DJ Saved My Life"[0] I quite enjoyed "Bring Me Edelweiss" when it was first released in the U.S., I bought the 7-inch vinyl single with picture sleeve. It was played on San Francisco alt-rock radio stations in heavy rotation. I also had both the ABBA and Indeep songs in my personal collection, but never noticed the sampling. Interesting to now read this historical connection. [0]https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edelweiss_(band) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edelweiss_(band)
