- jurschreuder 4y agoThis reminds me of huge phage's ability to infect bacteria and improve their functioning, actually increasing the survival rate of their host bacteria. This could be the same for mitochondria, infecting cells and not killing it slowly, but actually improving it, increasing the host's and therefore its own survival rate.
