Just because it didn’t work out for you, doesn’t mean it won’t for someone else. Not many 18 year olds would have the ability to jump right into an industry, film in your example. So for them, I can imagine the benefits to going to college being learning/refining their skills, creating a portfolio, and building a network. That’s not mentioning extra things like making friends, learning about other subjects, and other social aspects. Of course if you think you already have all that, then maybe college isn’t for you.
