A broker that offers something directly might end up with a lot of liability which could ultimately be a problem for all clients. I.e. E-Trade and Robinhood each had risks of insolvency that upset clients doing unrelated investments.
- unmole 5y agoEven if Robinhood or E-Trade had gone bankrupt, your stock holdings would have still been safe.
