Didn't Apple show that "this is the way?"

  Not if you want a semblance of an open and free ecosystem. Apple is far less political than Twitter. This move is without precedent.

    Calling twitter political, to me, is a joke. I view it as immensely vastly neutral, the one open zoo of all the public. That some of the public activity is political is an happenstance incident, deserving little more note than that there are super popular (by their scale) cepholopod communities on twitter. And "the algorithm" and the moderation are incredibly tolerant, extremely accepting & broking only the few things which they legally feel they must.

    @rektide you can view it however you want, but reality has no obligation to align with the fantasy you're presenting. It's unfortunate, as I vastly prefer your fantasy to the observed reality.
