It's like Reddit, or uh, a billion other things in life. People complain about it because they don't have the will or emotional health[1] to be disciplined about how they use it. Despite following a decent number of econ- and politics-adjacent accounts, my feed is high-quality because I keep an extremely high bar for intellectual honesty, and remove those who violated it, even when accounts were previously high quality[2]. Though to be fair, I do have to avoid reading the replies in every post. This feels like an actual loss, since they often contain thorough, intelligent rebuttals or supplements.
